Information we process

Site operation and security

Our hosting systems may process an Internet Protocol address, request time, requested page, referring page, browser or device information, and security events. These records are used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents.

MONTNET access

When a MONTNET access code is submitted, we process the code, submission time, and whether it matches authorized access records. MONTNET access records are encrypted at rest and used to control access, prevent misuse, and investigate security incidents. Do not enter a password or credential used on another system.

Email communications

If you choose to join a Montgomery email list, including the career-notification list, we may process your email address, the time and source of consent, and communication preferences. We use this information to send Montgomery news, career notices, or other communications described where you subscribe and to administer the subscription.

Analytics and advertising

If you allow analytics or marketing technologies, Montgomery may use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These tools may receive an Internet Protocol address, browser or device identifiers, requested and referring pages, site interactions, campaign parameters, and your consent state. MONTNET access codes and information entered into email fields are not sent through these tools.

How we use information

• Operate, maintain, and secure Montgomery’s public systems.
• Validate MONTNET access and investigate attempted misuse.
• Send requested email communications and administer subscriptions.
• Measure visits and campaign performance when analytics is allowed.
• Create advertising audiences and deliver relevant advertising when marketing is allowed.
• Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Consent and other legal bases

Optional analytics, marketing technologies, and email-list enrollment are based on your consent. You may decline optional technologies without losing access and may later withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it. Where applicable law requires another legal basis, we process site-security and MONTNET records for Montgomery’s legitimate interests in operating and securing its systems, preventing abuse, and protecting access. We may also process information when necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. If you allow marketing technologies, we may disclose online identifiers and website activity to Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure campaigns, create or match advertising audiences, and deliver targeted advertising. Some United States privacy laws may describe this activity as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. If you allow analytics, Google may process similar information to provide site and campaign measurement.

We may also use hosting, security, database, and email-delivery providers that process information for Montgomery under service arrangements. MONTNET access codes and email addresses are not included in data sent through the Meta Pixel or Google Analytics. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and system integrity.

Cookies and privacy choices

Non-essential analytics and marketing tags are blocked unless you make an affirmative selection allowing the applicable category. Allowing analytics permits Google Analytics to load. Allowing marketing permits the Meta Pixel to load. Declining optional technologies does not prevent use of the public surface or MONTNET.

Your selection is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember it. You may change it later through the site’s Privacy Choices control. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal will be treated as a decision not to allow marketing technologies. Clearing browser storage may reset your selection.

Retention

MONTNET submission records are ordinarily retained for 90 days. Routine web-security logs are ordinarily retained for no more than 30 days. Email subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion; a minimal suppression record may be retained to ensure that an opt-out continues to be honored.

Montgomery will use analytics and advertising data only for measurement, communications, and advertising purposes. Where provider controls allow, Montgomery will use the shortest practical retention setting and will ordinarily remove advertising audiences within 90 days after they are no longer needed. Google and Meta may retain information under their own policies. Records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for an active security investigation or legal obligation.

Your choices and requests

You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any such message. You may decline optional analytics and marketing technologies or later change your selection through Privacy Choices. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising; and appeal or complain to an applicable authority.

You may submit a request by contacting us. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. Montgomery does not discriminate against anyone for making a privacy request.

International processing

Montgomery operates from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or other safeguard, Montgomery and its providers will use an appropriate mechanism before making the transfer.

Automated processing

MONTNET automatically compares submitted access codes with authorization records. Montgomery does not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Montgomery email-list enrollment is intended for people 16 or older. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us to request deletion.

Security and changes

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this notice as practices or legal requirements change. The current revision date above identifies this version.
